Lansko barvanje 1. del - Last year's dyeing Part 1

Last year I did quite a lot of dyeing especially during summer. The coreopses in my garden grew and bloomed copiously and I collected the flowers almost every other day. This is the way they go: the more you collect the flowers the more new flowers they make.
I prefer dyeing with fresh material but coreopsis is one of the dyeing plants flowering so profusely I cannot use all the flowers as I pick them so I dry them for later use.

I dyed mostly wool yarn. As (almost) always this was farmer's wool from Slovenian Jezersko-Solčava sheep breed.

Coreopsises are wonderful flowers. And that colour and the sheep made me smile. I freeze my coreposis flowers. Are they as good when dried?

In my experience the colour is a bit less intense when I use dried flowers. The ball of yarn might be dyed with dried flowers.
