Vesele velikonočne praznike želim vsem obiskovalcem bloga!
Happy Easter season to all visitors of my blog!
My blog contains my work with WOOL - above all natural dyeing, felting, knitting, crochetting.... and also with SILK, COTTON , and other interesting things off topic ...

Lansko barvanje 1. del - Last year's dyeing Part 1
Last year I did quite a lot of dyeing especially during summer. The coreopses in my garden grew and bloomed copiously and I collected the flowers almost every other day. This is the way they go: the more you collect the flowers the more new flowers they make.

I prefer dyeing with fresh material but coreopsis is one of the dyeing plants flowering so profusely I cannot use all the flowers as I pick them so I dry them for later use.
I dyed mostly wool yarn. As (almost) always this was farmer's wool from Slovenian Jezersko-Solčava sheep breed.

Modre, zelene in oranžne - Blues, greens and oranges
This past July has been mainly in the blues, greens and in the oranges.
The dyeing process was nothing special, just the standard procedure, and the colours are really pretty, at least to my eyes. Here are some more pictures.
